POTALA PALACE

One of the central attraction of tibet is potala palace.which is located 177 meters above the city

below lasha.It was set up on the red hill in 16456 under the 15th Dalai lama. Different types of

art and artitracture were used to decorate it both internally and exterinally.The entire building is made of stone and wood and covers an area of An immense building, consists 1000 rooms of 13storey high having 3meters thick.It was both the residence of the current Dalai Lama and tomb of the former heads of state.

Drepung Monastry is one of the greatest Buddhist temples in Lhasa,Tibet together withsera and Ganden Monastries.This temple was originally built in 1416 when the Buddhist Gelu sect was in the golden time.The Drepung once was the most magnificent monastry and

had the most monks.It is also one of the central attraction for travelers.
